Dunwoody North is located on a secondary road close to US Highway 25. Dunwoody North is approximately 1 mile from upper Lake Greenwood and where the Saluda River meets.

Dunwoody North is minutes from Souls Harbor, which has a boat ramp where you can enjoy fishing and boating. There is also some game management land in the area for hunting.
